Binance announced in a press release that it will adjust the tick size for multiple USDⓈ-M perpetual futures contracts on October 8, 2025.
According to Binance, the tick size adjustment aims to fine-tune its derivatives market efficiency by modifying the minimum price movement allowed for specific USDⓈ-M Perpetual Futures pairs, including AIAUSDT, BNTUSDT, DOODUSDT, and LIGHTUSDT. Such technical updates typically enhance liquidity by allowing smoother price discovery and tighter bid-ask spreads, aligning Binance’s contract precision with prevailing market volatility. The change also underscores Binance’s ongoing push toward more sophisticated API integration, enabling traders to adapt algorithmic strategies effectively.
Binance’s derivatives division continues to dominate global futures trading, maintaining a market share above 55% of all crypto derivatives volume as of the third quarter of 2025, according to Coinglass data. The exchange routinely surpasses $60 billion in daily futures turnover, reflecting high institutional and retail activity.
