GP Bullhound has released its Titans of Tech 2024 report, an annual analysis of growth trends in Europe’s technology ecosystem. Now in its tenth year, the 2024 report concludes that the stage is set for increased innovation in the region.
According to a press release by GP Bullhound, a New York City-based technology advisory and investment firm, funding levels have rebounded. They have averaged €15 billion per quarter over the last year, which is about 50% higher than in 2019.
The report also analyzes Europe’s tech ecosystem growth. It reveals that despite failures, there has been the creation of 14 new unicorns within the last 12 months. Currently, Europe and Israel have a combined 323 unicorns, 12 more compared to the previous year. Additionally, the report found that the ecosystem’s total valuation has soared to $1.2 trillion, reflecting an increase of approximately 11 times in billion-dollar companies and 14 times in aggregate valuation since 2014, the first year of the report.
