Jarek Jakubcek, head of law enforcement training at Binance, emphasized the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and industry to secure the digital landscape. He made this statement on Binance's website on February 16.

"Securing the digital environment requires a unified approach between law enforcement and industry leaders," said Jakubcek, according to Binance. "Binance is committed to facilitating these collaborative efforts to ensure justice prevails in the digital space."

According to a press release, Binance and Gulf Binance organized a law enforcement training session on February 26 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event aimed to improve investigative skills in tackling crypto-related crimes and gathered over 120 representatives from law enforcement agencies across Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. It provided in-depth discussions on best practices in digital asset investigations and tools for tracking illicit financial activities.

Before joining Binance, Jakubcek worked as a cryptocurrency specialist at Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre. His expertise includes cybercrime prevention, digital forensics, and blockchain investigations. At Binance, he oversees global training initiatives that equip law enforcement with critical skills to track and prosecute digital asset-related crimes.

Founded in 2017 by Changpeng Zhao, Binance has become one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges globally. To enhance compliance and security, Binance has invested in comprehensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) programs. These initiatives involve leveraging advanced technologies for identity verification and transaction monitoring while collaborating with regulatory authorities to prevent illicit activities on its platform.
