Binance announced that BNBChain has recorded the highest transaction volume among Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible chains over the past 30 days, "surpassing its competitors." The announcement was made on their website on February 10.
According to Binance, BNBChain recorded 67.6 million transactions over the past month, making it the most transacted EVM-compatible blockchain. It accounted for 6.1% of total blockchain transactions, ranking second overall behind Solana, which led with 796.8 million transactions and a 71.86% share. BNBChain surpassed other EVM-compatible chains, including Tron, Base, and Polygon, maintaining its position as the leader in this category, according to data by Dune.
Thirdweb reports that EVM-compatible blockchains allow smart contracts to run across multiple networks with minimal code modifications. This enables decentralized applications (dApps) to interact with Ethereum’s ecosystem, which includes more than 100 million unique wallets. Examples of EVM-compatible blockchains include Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Avalanche, each supporting interoperability and smart contract deployment.
