The British Blockchain Association (BBA) has announced that Professor Dr. Marc Pilkington from Université de Bourgogne will be a speaker at the Scholars in Blockchain International Symposium (SIBIS2024). The announcement was made in an October 29 post on X.

According to the BBA, it will host the Scholars in Blockchain International Symposium, SIBIS24, on November 8, 2024. The event is organized by the Centre for Evidence-Based Blockchain and will gather over 100 blockchain and cryptocurrency professors from six continents for academic discussions. The BBA, which publishes the peer-reviewed, open-access Journal of the British Blockchain Association, has appointed Professor Naseem Naqvi MBE as the chair of SIBIS24. The participation fee is set at £195, according to the event's website.

The Centre for Evidence-Based Blockchain focuses on promoting rigorous research and analysis within the blockchain industry. It aims to enhance credibility and reliability in blockchain studies by supporting academic and professional standards. Through collaborations with institutions like the British Blockchain Association, it works to advance blockchain knowledge and provide a foundation for informed decisions and policies in blockchain technology.
