Blockchain for Europe has announced that the 6th Annual Blockchain for Europe Summit will be held in Brussels on December 3-4, 2024. The summit aims to provide insights into the blockchain landscape. This announcement was made in an October 3 post on X.

According to Blockchain for Europe, the event will feature discussions on tokenization, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and other topics. Industry leaders are expected to engage at the Sparks venue in Brussels.

The first day of the event will commence with a keynote address focusing on the new European Commission’s approach to blockchain. A session will cover the anticipated Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation, examining its implications for stablecoins and potential challenges. Another panel will discuss MiCA from an international perspective, followed by a fireside chat on the future of the digital euro. In the afternoon, attendees will explore the future of decentralized finance in Europe. The day is set to conclude with a session on global financial regulation and a networking drinks event.

On December 4, the summit will include a keynote and panel discussing Europe's leadership role in tokenization, followed by a session on smart assets versus liabilities. Another panel will explore tokenization's applications beyond finance. The summit will also address the current state of the Bitcoin ecosystem and sustainability issues. Sessions are planned to cover privacy evolution and Web 3's transformative potential, with discussions centered around whether Europe is losing its edge in Web 3. The final session will examine new EU agendas for a digital economy before concluding remarks and drinks.

Blockchain for Europe is based in Brussels and focuses on promoting innovation and integrity through blockchain technology. It collaborates with policymakers, academics, and member companies to shape a European regulatory framework that supports blockchain-based innovation.
