The European Blockchain Convention has announced Global Ledger, a Swiss blockchain analytics firm focused on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, as a sponsor for its 10th event. Trusted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the European Union (EU), Global Ledger will present a keynote and masterclass on financial crime in the crypto space.

Recognized for its role in combating financial crime in the digital asset space, Global Ledger will present a keynote by Lex Fisun on "Terrorist Financing: The Role of Crypto and DeFi" and conduct a masterclass titled "Identify VASP Risks in Under 10 Seconds" at the European Blockchain Convention. The convention runs from September 23-29 in Barcelona, with key presentations scheduled for September 25-26, according to an X post by the European Blockchain Convention.

Fisun is the co-founder and CEO of Global Ledger, according to LinkedIn. He previously worked as chief marketing officer for Apex Nutrition, co-founder of Epidemia Marketing, and as a marketing lead for Scalarr before co-founding Global Ledger in 2018.

Global Ledger provides an AML compliance toolset for government agencies, banks, fintech companies, and crypto startups. It offers risk assessment, surveillance, and investigation capabilities for blockchain assets. It supports cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum, with over 1,000 digital assets analyzed. The platform conducts around 180,000 AML checks daily, delivering results in about 500 milliseconds.

Other speakers that will be featured at the European Blockchain Convention include Sebastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox; Eric Demuth, CEO of Bitpanda; and Gillian Lynch, Gemini's CEO of Europe.

The European Blockchain Convention was established to advance the blockchain industry in Europe. Since its first event in 2018 in Barcelona, it has brought together thousands of participants including top speakers and startups in the blockchain and crypto sectors. Each year it attracts a diverse global audience including founders, investors, developers, and regulators who gather to learn, network, and collaborate.
