The European Crypto Initiative (EuCI) celebrated several events during the Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC), including their first Legal Summer School, held from July 7 through July 8, where they covered details of the European Union (EU) legislative process and other blockchain process lessons.

EuCI also attended the Institutional Digital Assets Forum on July 8-11 as part of EthCC Week. They recapped with a post on X that shared some of the experience, saying, “We were thrilled to have co-organised and participated in so many events, and couldn’t be happier with the turnout.” This statement was made in a July 19 post on X.

EthCC Week saw more than 250 speakers from around the world participate in multiple events, meetings, panels, and parties in Brussels. Some of the events included a Hacker House event for developers to learn, build and ship on Fleek starting July 1; EthCC Bingo, a conference game hosted by Shutter Network from July 6-14; and an augmented reality game at EthCC which allowed individuals to explore Brussels with missions and rewards.

The Ethereum Community Conference brought together speakers from various organizations and businesses to raise awareness and help attendees refine their skills. Speakers included Arjun Bhuptani from Connext; J.M. Porup from Ava Labs; Suki Yang from LMAO; Anastasia Rodinova from 3Loop; Laurence Day of the Wildcat Protocol; Kanishk Khurana from Fleek, among others.

According to their website, EthCC is the “largest annual European Ethereum event focused on technology and community.” The conference consists of four days of conferences, talks, networking, and learning from experienced leaders in the blockchain industry. The event is organized by Ethereum France with the goal of transmitting knowledge and developing “a positive and fertile ecosystem.”

The European Crypto Initiative is a Brussels-based advocacy organization that aims to guide the European Union’s regulations of blockchain technology and decentralized applications while “advocating for an innovative EU environment, supporting technological development for SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) and innovative crypto-assets service providers,” according to the EuCI website. The organization hosts events and workshops, shares educational opportunities, position papers, among other activities.
