Binance announced in a press release that it updated the collateral ratio and tiered collateral ratio for PM Pro under Portfolio Margin on September 30 and October 3, 2025 (UTC). The company also revised leverage and margin tiers for several USDⓈ-M Perpetual Contracts.
According to Binance, the changes will be implemented in two phases, affecting both standard Portfolio Margin and PM Pro. On September 30 at 06:00 UTC, Binance increased SIGN and SKY collateral ratios and adjusted PM Pro tiers for WLFI. This included expanding 100% collateral coverage caps and introducing lower collateral percentages at higher notionals. On October 3 at 06:00 UTC, collateral factors for NEIRO, AXS, PEOPLE, ROSE, DUSK, and PHB were reduced. Additionally, PEOPLE and NEIRO saw their PM Pro ranks/tier bounds reshaped. Binance noted that each batch would be completed in approximately 30 minutes and reminded users that collateral ratios feed into the Unified Maintenance Margin Ratio (uniMMR), impacting liquidation thresholds.
The specific changes included SIGN and SKY moving from 10% to 20% (PM) on September 30; WLFI PM Pro cap at 100% collateral expanding from $100,000 to $200,000, with new rates of 40% at $800,000–$1,000,000 and 20% above $1,000,000. On October 3, NEIRO dropped from 50% to 40%; AXS from 50% to 30%; PEOPLE from 40% to 30%; ROSE from 40% to 30%; DUSK from 30% to 20%; PHB from 30% to 20%. Futures leverage/margin tiers were revised for PUMPBTCUSDT, QUICKUSDT, NTRNUSDT, ONGUSDT, FLUXUSDT, TAGUSDT, MOVRUSDT, ACXUSDT, IMXUSDT, CAKEUSDT, KASUSDT, TWTUSDT and HIFIUSDT at listed times.
Binance remains the largest crypto-derivatives venue by trading share. Public trackers frequently show Binance clearing a majority of global futures volume with monthly market share readings around the mid-50% range in 2025. The peak daily turnover surpasses tens of billions of dollars. Scale is significant for risk-parameter changes because even small adjustments can alter capital efficiency for a large base of portfolio-margin users and market makers operating across many altcoin contracts.
