Binance has announced the launch of “Meme Rush – Binance Wallet Exclusive” and a new “Square Mentions” system, aimed at enhancing meme token visibility through community-generated content.

According to Binance’s announcement titled “Ignite Your Favorite Tokens with Square Mentions,” the initiative is part of the broader launch of “Meme Rush – Binance Wallet Exclusive.” The aim is to leverage on-chain meme token momentum and increase community participation. The announcement describes Square Mentions as “a key way to boost your favorite tokens,” encouraging users to share content that includes eligible token contract addresses on Binance Square to enhance visibility and engagement. Binance presents this as a new mechanism designed to reward organic content activity directly linked to token exposure.

In its published announcement, Binance states that under Meme Rush, token popularity is measured by the total views of eligible posts over the previous seven days that include a token’s contract address (CA). This contributes to the token’s “Square Mentions” score, which is updated hourly, providing a dynamic and near-real-time metric of community interest. The company also mentions that the Square Mentions data will become live within 48 hours after the announcement, indicating a brief delay before full operational capability.

The same source from Binance notes that a “Migrated Rank” page will be created based on multiple factors—with Square Mentions being central—to rank meme tokens by engagement performance. Tokens performing well according to this ranking may potentially be featured on Binance Alpha, although this remains subject to further eligibility criteria and Binance’s discretion. The company warns that these rankings and mention metrics are intended for reference only and do not guarantee any listing or promotional decision.

According to Wikipedia, Binance is a global cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2017. It offers spot and derivatives trading, staking, lending, and digital-asset infrastructure services worldwide. Frequently recognized as one of the largest exchanges by trading volume, Binance often introduces social, content, and engagement programs—such as Binance Square, Launchpad, and Wallet features—as part of its strategy to deepen user participation in Web3.
