Binance has announced the introduction of the Aave-Plasma USDT Locked Product on its On-Chain Yields platform. This new product automatically upgrades existing Plasma USDT users and offers up to 7% annual percentage rate (APR).
According to Binance, the update will transition Plasma USDT Locked Product users into an upgraded “Aave-Plasma USDT Locked Product” starting September 25, 2025, at 12:00 UTC. The offering remains open to new subscribers. The company says that rewards are sourced from the Aave Protocol on Plasma Chain and will be paired with future incentive campaigns. On-Chain Yields centralizes access to third-party protocols from a Binance account, eliminating the need for separate wallets, chains, and gas management. The model aims to expand consumer choice without state mandates while cautioning that principal and returns are not guaranteed.
The notice outlines tiered terms and rates for USDT locked products over periods of 15, 30, 60, and 90 days with APRs of 4.5%, 5.0%, 6.0%, and 7.0%, respectively. Daily rewards are distributed to Spot Accounts on a first-come-first-served subscription basis, with early redemption returning principal within three days. Existing Plasma USDT users will be auto-subscribed to a 60-day Aave-Plasma product unless they redeem beforehand.
Aave is recognized as one of the largest decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols by total value locked (TVL), frequently exceeding $10 billion across deployments in 2025. This context supports sourcing on-chain USDT yields up to 7% under favorable market conditions. Despite high TVL providing deeper liquidity and more stable rate discovery compared with smaller venues, rates can vary by reserve and utilization.
Binance was founded in 2017 by Changpeng Zhao and Yi He and operates as one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume through a decentralized corporate structure with regional entities. Since November 2023, Richard Teng has served as CEO. Binance Earn aggregates custodial yields and on-chain access through offerings like Portfolio Margin, PM Pro, and On-Chain Yields.
